Last Month at IAA: July 2020
Our four-month anniversary is almost here and we are excited to have enough highlights to fill a whole page. Check out our highlights here.
July Fundraiser: Orphans in DR Congo
Our July fundraiser was a resounding success! We raised enough money to pay for 41 children to go to a secular school! We could not have done it without you. A special shoutout to Godless Engineer and KC and their "Skeptic Mafia" for raising the last $2k.
August Community-Building Campaign & Operations Fundraiser
#oneATHEIST can make a difference.
This month, we launched the #oneATHEIST campaign. This campaign is about spreading a positive message. We want to create a welcoming place to land for all those ex-believers leaving their faith behind.
Here's how you can participate (visit internationalatheists.org/oneatheist):
Take the pledge - pledge your commitment to changing how the world views atheists.
Share your story - tell IAA what the atheist community has done for you
Grab yourself some #oneATHEIST gear: tees, beanies, masks and more to act as a walking billboard!
Donate to the cause
Become a member of the fastest-growing international atheist organization in the world!
We are each #oneATHEIST. Imagine what we can do together!
#FreeMubarakBala - tomorrow it will be 98 days since we last heard from Mubarak.
Member of the Month
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce July's Member of the Month, KC Gleason. Members join to pledge continued support to our many initiatives. There is no requirement to be active in any way once a member has joined, but KC is a constant voice of support on all social media channels and behind the scenes. She also does great work as a volunteer.
"I'm a pretty active member of the online atheist community but I haven't really been impressed with atheist organizations, in general, so I avoided getting involved in them. Recently I came across IAA and I was blown away at all of the work they were doing for such a new organization and with how transparent they are with donations. Everything about the organization exudes positivity and inclusiveness and it's run by two women who are so passionate about the work, it's infectious. I could not find a single reason to not join and volunteer to support the incredible work they are doing."
We thank you, KC for your commitment to IAA.

How Are We Doing?
We are delighted to be able to share with you our achievements after four months of operation. We have raised over $16,000 USD for our partners and over $30,000 in total. See more of our highlights and how your money is being used: Highlights
In 4 months of operation, we have raised over $16,000 USD for our partners and we are so excited for the opportunity to support more. We are always happy to welcome new organizations into our network of partners, so please welcome our three new partner Voters Humanists & Atheists of Zambia, Without Religion Association, and Kenya Humanist Alliance to our growing family.
Humanists & Atheists of Zambia seeks to normalize atheism, spread humanism and counter the hold religion has in Governance, policies and social norms.
Voters Without Religion Association's aim is to lessen the effect that religion plays in forming laws and policies around the world. Kenya Humanist Alliance is an alliance of Humanist associations/groups in Kenya. Our main objective is to promote the use of Science, Reason, and Logics in all undertakings in Kenya.
If you are part of an organization that considers itself atheist, humanist or atheist-friendly, consider signing up to be our partner now. It's totally free.
GuideStar Platinum Seal
As you should be aware, one of our touchstones is transparency. Not only do we want to be a force for good in the world, but we wish to do so with complete transparency so that you can see what we are doing, how your funds are used and how we support our partners.
Therefore we are pleased to announce that we were granted a Guidestar Platinum Seal a few days ago. For more information, please click here.
One of the benefits of becoming a member is the free "swag bag" that comes with it. You get (depending on your level of membership) a membership card, a bumper sticker, a lapel pin and a tote bag. Use your bumper sticker to declare your atheism and humanitarianism to the world with pride. Our colourful lapel pin sets off any outfit adding a declaration of your commitment to being part of a force for good in the world. And what better way to carry all your swag, but our tote bag. It's useful too, as you can use it to carry many other things as well.

We want to welcome all the new members who have signed up in the last week. Becoming a member is the best way to ensure you're supporting all causes of the fastest-growing atheist non-profit in the world. We prioritize secular education, legal aid for blasphemy, safety for atheists around the world, networking for atheist business owners and so much more. Become a member today and be part of something big.
The need for volunteers never slows. Whether you can only spare an hour a month or want to help out full-time, we can use your skills!
We accomplish nothing without you. You enable us and we cannot thank you enough. Thank you.
