This Week At IAA Friday 19 June 2020
Our work continues and our organization continues to grow in both terms of scale and the number of connections we are making around the world with other organizations. We are excited to be working together to help make the world a better and safer place.
As human rights activists, Juneteenth means a great deal to us at International Association of Atheists. Co-founder and Vice-President Courtney Heard wrote a piece about it and we would love for you to read it.
Partners are the lifeblood of our organization as we actively seek out projects and campaigns that they have launched to highlight, support and fundraise for. We are so excited to have hit the twenty mark in partners because that means we have twenty new opportunities to do good!
If you would like your organization to partner with International Association of Atheists, please click here to sign up.
The fight continues as we head into our fifty-second day without a word from Mubarak Bala. We still do not know if he is alive. Our hearts are very heavy but we have not given up hope. The work continues behind the scenes and we will keep you updated.
Free Hearts, Free Minds Fundraiser
Free Hearts, Free Minds is Yasmine Mohammed's organization that provides professional services for ex-Muslims who still live in Islamic countries. Our fundraiser continues to grow.
We honestly cannot thank you enough for your support of this worthy cause. If you haven't contributed, but still wish to donate, feel free to follow the link below. Every dollar counts!
Secular Underground Network
We are atheists, but we assure you, the team working at SUN are angels. They selflessly devote countless hours to helping those in need. Our cases continue to grow as we find ourselves needing more and more resources. We could really use you as an ally and the best way to do that is to become a member of IAA. Join now.
Welcome New Partners
A warm welcome goes out to Canadian Atheists and Humanist Association for Leadership, Equity and Accountability (HALEA). We are so excited to have you on board.
If you would like to add your group to our growing list of partners, please apply here.
There are now several vacancies for an apprenticeship with IAA.
You could acquire many work skills that will be of benefit in a variety of workplaces and learn administrative, marketing, budgeting and organizational skills that will help you all your working life. You might earn some experience in management and team building. You'll also get to learn about the unique challenges that nonprofit organizations face.
There is also a small stipend as our thanks to you, and you'll be able to walk away with a letter of reference and a group of friends who can vouch for you in any professional setting.
While it can be hectic, stressful and even heartbreaking sometimes, the good far outweighs the bad, and working with a non-profit organization can only look good on your resume.
Click here if these opportunities interest you.
The need for volunteers never slows. Whether you can only spare an hour a month or want to help out full-time, we can use your skills!
We accomplish nothing without you. You enable us and we cannot thank you enough.
