This Week At IAA Friday 3 July 2020

Read on to find out why we haven't slept much the past week! We have been busy and we are excited to bring you these updates.

July Fundraiser - Helping Orphans In The Congo

We are huge proponents of the idea that education is the fastest path to reason. We want, desperately, to help give children the tools they need to be independent, critical thinkers that can continue to draw our world away from superstitious thinking.

That is why our July fundraiser is to help disadvantaged orphans in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), who are amongst some of the most vulnerable children in the world. For further information, click here.

To help them, please click here to donate whatever you feel able in order to support this worthy cause.

We are still playing the waiting game. Even though Mubarak's lawyers have been granted access to him, they will not be able to see him for a few days. But once we can give you an update on the situation, we will.

Although we are beginning to see some forward movement, we cannot ease up on the Nigerian authorities. Any publicity we can generate can only be of benefit.

Free Hearts, Free Minds Fundraiser Results

We honestly cannot thank you enough for your support of this worthy cause.

Free Hearts, Free Minds is Yasmine Mohammed's organization that provides professional services for ex-Muslims who still live in Islamic countries. Our fundraiser has ended and we are delighted to announce that we raised $3,045.00 for this very worthy cause.

Legacy Giving

As atheists, we don’t believe in an afterlife, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to continue to do good after we’re gone. A legacy gift to International Association of Atheists ensures our values are still being fought for long after our brief moment in time is over.

Amazon Smile

This is an initiative by Amazon in order to generate funds for good causes worldwide. It has absolutely no effect on the service provided by Amazon, but has the benefit that every purchase will generate a donation by Amazon to the cause of your choice.

There are now several vacancies for an apprenticeship with IAA.

You will acquire many work skills that will be of benefit in a variety of workplaces. Included in the skills you will learn are administrative, marketing, budgeting and organizational skills that will help you all your working life. You might earn some experience in management and team building. You'll also get to learn about the unique challenges that nonprofit organizations face.

There is also a small stipend as our thanks to you, and you'll be able to walk away with a letter of reference and a group of friends who can vouch for you in any professional setting.

While it can be hectic, stressful and even heartbreaking sometimes, the good far outweighs the bad, and working with a non-profit organization can only look good on your resume.

Click here if these opportunities interest you.
